1st German Social Prescribing Conference
The Institute for General Practices and Family Medicine is hosting the 1st German Social Prescribing Conference with the aim of introducing the cocept Social Prescribing to the wide German public and evaluate it critically. This conference is organised in cooperation with the Global Social Prescribing Alliance.
Scientific lead: Prof. Dr. med. Wolfram Herrmann.
Social issues play an important role in General Practice. In addition to care models tailored for socially deprived areas, such as Integrated Primary Care Centres or "Gesundheitskioske", we require cost- effective solutions that can be applied to any settings.
Social prescribing is such a model, being implemented nationwide in United Kingdom. Patients with social needs are referred by their GP surgery to a link worker, who in turn analyses their needs, draws up a plan of action and refers them to available local services.
We cordially invite you to attend 1st German Social Prescribing Conference hosted by the Institute for General Practices and Family Medicine, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in cooperation with the Global Social Prescribing Alliance on the 19thApril 2023 in the afternoon. We hope to introduce the model of social prescribing to the wider German public and look forward to your contributions.
