Teaching and Learning

We want to integrate the perspective of GP care into medical studies from the very beginning. Therefore, our lectures view the patient with his/her individual concerns and provide a differential diagnostic approach.

Lecture focus

Additionally, we focus on the frequency of disease patterns in outpatient care, work in multi-professional teams, the characteristics of long-term GP care and the classification of evidence-based medicine into the individual context of the patient. Our lectures are case-orientated and practical. Interdisciplinary courses illustrate the cooperation in patient care and encourage further studies in General Practice. More than 400 teaching practices in Berlin and Brandenburg provide the training of practical skills to medical students to train their practical skills in General Practice. Since GP care in the countryside offers a very broad spectrum of learning experiences, we encourage internships in rural areas.
